Frequently asked questions.

General Practice & Client Information

  • I work with teens (14+), adults, and professionals in high‑pressure roles—executives, entrepreneurs, finance, lawyers, and healthcare providers. Many manage demanding careers, relationships, and struggles like anxiety, stress, and life transitions. I also support individuals navigating addiction recovery. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space regardless of background or life stage.

  • If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking deeper self-understanding, therapy can be a meaningful step. It’s not about having it all figured out—it’s about exploring what might be holding you back. Whether it’s stress, burnout, grief, or relationships, therapy provides a space to slow down, reflect, and decide if this is the right fit—for your needs and where you are.

  • I offer in-person sessions if your schedule makes it difficult to come to an office. I’ll meet you at a private space that works for you—your home, workplace, or another convenient location (within my service area). This offers flexibility, confidentiality, and discretion.

  • Yes. I use SimplePractice’s HIPAA-compliant video platform to offer secure and effective virtual sessions. Online therapy reduces commuting stress and makes it easier to attend sessions consistently from anywhere in California or Texas.

  • Absolutely. Confidentiality is foundational to my practice. All sessions are private, and I follow professional and legal standards to protect your information at every step.

  • Yes, I accept a limited number of insurance plans, including Aetna and Quest Behavioral Health, to make it easier to access care. For all other plans, I’m considered an out-of-network provider. If you have a PPO plan, I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement—coverage and rates depend on your individual plan.

To simplify the process, I also partner with Thrizer, a third-party service that helps manage out-of-network claims. If you’d like to use Thrizer or have questions about how it works, I’m happy to walk you through it.

Grief & Loss

  • Yes. Grief is deeply personal, and online therapy offers a space to move through it gently—at your own pace and in the comfort of home.

  • We’ll explore your loss with compassion and without pressure. Sessions may involve talking, meaning-making, or simply having space to feel what’s real.

  • There’s no set timeline. Everyone grieves differently. What matters most is steady, nonjudgmental support as you move through it.

  • That’s completely normal. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe. Starting is often the hardest part—but you don’t have to do it perfectly.

Therapy for Professionals

  • I support executives, entrepreneurs, healthcare providers, attorneys, and professionals in high-pressure fields. Many juggle demanding schedules, burnout, or existential stress—even while maintaining strong outward success.

  • Therapy gives space to pause and reflect, not just perform. We explore stress triggers, decision patterns, and what balance feels like for you—not what it looks like to others.
